The DC Office of the State Superintendent for Education (OSSE) official released the 2024 DC School Report Card, a scoring system combining data collected in various categories, including: student achievement and growth, attendance, enrollment, English language proficiency, graduation rates, college and career readiness, early childhood environment, and data related to staff and leadership. The scores are meant to foster a system of accountability for public schools and identify schools in need of additional support to meet the needs of students. Additionally, the report card helps caregivers better understand their child’s school and support them in choosing the best option for their student.
DC Bilingual is excited to receive a score of 76.2%, which places our school at the top of the list for all elementary charters in the city, and in the top 5% of all elementary schools across the city! In fact, DC Bilingual is the highest performing language immersion program across DCPS and public charter schools. For the detailed report card for DC Bilingual, read here. While this report card is one measure of success, this score further validates of our efforts to ensure students and families receive the best possible bilingual education.
