Raquel serves as Supervisor (Elementary) in the Department of English Language & Multilingual Education in Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS).
Prior to joining MCPS Raquel spent 12 years in DC Public Schools as an Assistant Principal and 2nd Grade Dual Language teacher. She worked in the communities for Powell and Bancroft Elementary, supporting biliteracy instruction and strengthening community partnerships.
Prior to working in schools, Raquel worked in education communications supporting researchers distill data for various stakeholders.
On the weekends you can often find Raquel and her family exploring museums, local events or at Imagination Stage for classes and shows!
