I attended school in Guatemala City until the age of 15. I then moved to Maryland with my family and attended High Point High School from 9th-12th grade. I’m passionate about my work because I believe that every student can learn.  It’s important to me that each student is provided with all of the supports needed to be able to access their education, and be able to become an active member of their community.

What made you decide to follow this career path?
From a very early age I knew that teaching was the career that I wanted to pursue. I loved learning and was always very curious about the world around me. I appreciated my teachers for helping me discover so many “Aha!” moments, and I developed a strong desire to help others experience those moments too!

What about DCB appeals to you?
DCB appeals to me because it’s important to me to work alongside like-minded individuals that value and believe in DCB’s mission. The focus on community, academic achievement in both English and Spanish, leadership and valuing of all cultures makes DCB a very appealing place to work and grow as a professional.
