What is your role at DCB?
My role is at DC Bilingual is to provide engaging and effective instruction throughout a safe and respectful classroom.  My role is to also provide students with the skills and values they need in order to become a proactive member of our community.

What is your educational background?
-I have a Bachelor’s degree with a Major in Studio Art and Minor in Art History from Wittenberg University

-Currently enrolled and finishing my last set of classes at Loyola University Graduate School for a Masters in Special Education.

How are you available to help parents and families?
I am always available to provide any assistance to parents.  I can always provide additional resources or desired one on one meetings.

Why are you passionate about your work?
The greatest gift is watching students thrive.  After putting in so much time and effort into each individual’s education experience, it is always rewarding to see growth.

What made you decide to follow this career path
My mother was a teacher. I have always known I wanted to work with children and special education became my calling.

There is such a strong dedication to each of the members of the community, staff, parents, and teachers.  There is also passion from each and every member of staff to ensure the best for their students.
